Could this be a project for you? Do you like to experiment beyond musical boundaries and across different musical cultures? For example, have you always wanted to connect classical music and jazz or explore how different musical styles meet and eventually find each other?
Then you've come to the right place.
The Worlds Beyond Orchestra is looking for you!
Under the direction of the renowned Swiss composer, saxophonist and flutist Daniel Schnyder, the «Worlds Beyond Orchestra» will develop the concert project «The Jazz Symphony» in Zurich at the beginning of August 2023 and then go on tour together.
The Worlds Beyond Orchestra will be formed of young, talented prize winners of the Swiss Youth Music Competition (SJMW) and other European competitions for young musicians: it is a real transnational string orchestra.
For this year’s project, the orchestra will be accompanied by a New York City Jazz Rhythm Section. In addition to Daniel Schnyder, other renowned musicians will join the workshop and coach the young musicians.
